McNaughton Park 30, 50, & 100 Mile Runs

Time & Place – April 16, 2005, 6:00 a.m. No early start!  The race will be held in Pekin, Illinois. Detailed Directions from every direction and from hotels can be found on the website.  Basic directions to park : Exit off of 474 on Rt. 29(towards Pekin). Go east at Rt. 98 towards Morton.  Go through two lights and up a hill.  Make your next right into the Park (McNaughton Drive).  Follow that until it ends and park there. 

 

Course - The course will consist of ten mile loops.  The loop is dirt trails, open fields, and plenty of hills.  The course will cross three creeks.  The trail will be marked with red paint on trees and yellow ribbons on branches.  Glow sticks and reflective tape will be strategically placed for night running.   The course could be muddy, depending on how much rain we receive that week.  Be prepared!         

                        

Time Limit – 36 hours.  One Cut-Off for 100 Milers.  Runners must finish 90 miles in 32:30!       

 

Aid – Four well-stocked aid stations per loop.  Start/finish, mile 2.5, 5.5, and 6.7.

Packet pick up – Start/Finish area from 10-11 a.m. or 5-7 p.m. (April 15th) or 4:30 – 5:30 on race morning.        

 

Awards    Top Open, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior (60+) awards for both Male and Female divisions will receive an award and all finishers will receive a finishers medal.  100 Milers will receive a custom plaque.  There will be an overall male and female award for the winners of the 100 mile.

 30/50 MILE race is $35.00 if postmarked by August 31, 2004. $40 postmarked by December 31, 2004.   $50 postmarked by April 6th.   $60.00 thereafter.     

100 MILE - $100.00 - postmarked by August 31, 2004. $125 by April 6th.  $150 thereafter. 

 

All entrants will receive a custom designed dry fit shirt.  Race confirmation will be done via e-mail.  Contact RD if you don’t receive your confirmation two weeks prior to the race.
